The SOUL Performance 982 GT4 RS sport cats are a modular Over Axle Pipe solution using high-flow catalysts to deliver measurable sound and performance gains for the Porsche 718 GT4 RS and Spyder RS. The design replaces the empty particulate-filter section in the factory components with a monitored catalyst, addressing emissions-related concerns while unlocking real gains. When paired with SOUL Performance Competition Headers, the 982 GT4 RS sport cats deliver a substantial increase in output and exhaust character. Every set ships with a standard heat management solution to manage the additional heat produced by the catalyst core.

Development

To provide the most effective and efficient performance solution for the GT4 RS, SOUL Performance chose not to offer a catted header replacement and instead developed the 982 GT4 RS sport cats as a modular Over Axle Pipe with an integrated catalyst. As a standalone upgrade, it uses high-flow catalysts to deliver tangible sound and performance gains by replacing the empty particulate-filter section in the factory components. Paired with SOUL Performance Competition Headers, the system delivers a substantial increase in output and exhaust character..

Construction

Each set is assembled in-house in the USA using mandrel-bent, thick-wall 0.065-inch T304L stainless steel. Back-purged TIG welding with ARCAL Prime argon gas promotes proper weld penetration and long-term durability. Water-jet-cut flanges are produced to ISO 9001:2015 standards with +/- 0.003-inch tolerances for exceptional precision. Thick-gauge aluminum fixtures act as heat sinks during welding to prevent warping and help ensure consistent, accurate fitment.

Every set of SOUL Performance 982 GT4 RS sport cats is rigorously quality-checked, test-fit in a dedicated fixture to confirm proper fitment, then foam-packed to help ensure it arrives in perfect condition. New high-grade installation hardware is included.
