Top Secret Aero Bonnet for R35 Nissan GT-R (2008-2023)

Nissan’s M17 facelift kit brought the V-motion grille to the R35 GT-R, and the Top Secret GT-R M17 aero bonnet so CBA, DBA, EBA, and 4BA chassis can run that front-end look without the hood’s press lines fighting the new grille shape. Beyond the styling fix, the bonnet is built for how these cars actually get driven. Ducting is placed to pull heat out of the engine bay during sustained high-load runs, which is where a GT-R doing repeat track sessions puts more strain on the engine bay than one doing weekend cruises. A rain guard is included for regular street use. The panel is available in FRP with a carbon fiber NACA duct section, or in full carbon fiber for a lighter build.

Notes

Not compatible on 2024-2025 facelift EBA GT-R models
If installed alone on a CBA or DBA (2008-2016) model, the hood’s press lines will not fully align with the factory grille shape unless installed alongside the Top Secret M17 front bumper kit
All FRP is delivered unpainted, and all Top Secret carbon is delivered in its raw state and will require prep and application of a UV resistant clear coat and/or PPF

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Top Secret GT-R M17 Aero Bonnet fit if I don’t install the M17 front bumper kit? Yes, the Aero Bonnet mounts on CBA, DBA, EBA, and 4BA R35 GT-R models without the M17 front bumper kit. On chassis built before the V-motion update, though, running it alone leaves the hood’s press lines out of step with the factory grille. Top Secret recommends pairing it with the kit so the lines read correctly front to back.
Why doesn’t the stock R35 hood work with the M17 bumper kit? The factory hood on earlier R35 GT-R chassis was designed before Nissan introduced the V-motion grille with the M17 facelift kit. The stock press lines don’t follow that shape, so bolting the M17 bumper on without this Aero Bonnet leaves a visible mismatch between hood and grille.
Does the Aero Bonnet include a rain guard? Yes, every Top Secret GT-R M17 Aero Bonnet ships with a rain guard for wet-weather driving. It’s sold as a single hood panel; the M17 full bumper kit is a separate purchase and is not included.
What do the ducts on the Aero Bonnet actually do? The ducts on the Top Secret Aero Bonnet are placed to pull heat out of the engine bay during sustained high-load driving, like repeated track sessions. Better heat dissipation under the hood helps protect components exposed to elevated temperatures on a GT-R pushed hard on circuit.
