Pushing the boundaries of the traditional casting process, the Hybrid Forged Series adopts flow forming technology to achieve weight reduction and enhanced strength. The utilization of flow forming also enables a wide range of wheel widths to be achieved within each design.

Introducing Vossen’s latest addition to the Hybrid Forged™ lineup, the HF-7 wheel, which draws inspiration from its forged counterpart, the EVO-5R. Featuring stylish pocketed spokes and an aggressive split-spoke design, the HF-7 wheel is available in two standard finishes and four custom finishes, allowing for personalized customization options.

The Flow Forming Process

The process initiates with the meticulous attachment of a precisely shaped wheel mold to the rotating flow forming machine, which is followed by the controlled application of heat. Precise and controlled pressure is applied to the barrel using hydraulic rollers, facilitating the gradual expansion of the wheel. Diligent execution of stretching and compressing techniques is employed to meticulously manipulate and adjust the material, ultimately achieving the desired width with exceptional precision. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is enhanced, resulting in a final composition that closely resembles a wheel manufactured in a factory. This advanced process not only achieves significant weight reduction but also enhances the overall strength of the wheel, yielding a design that is both lighter and stronger in its construction.
