APR Performance’s Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers for Cadillac ATS-V Coupe and CTS-V Sedan are the inexpensive way to get real carbon onto a car that did not leave the factory wearing any, and they are what they say they are: a cosmetic part that fits over the factory mirror housings with nothing cut and nothing permanent. What separates them from a wrap or a stick-on shell is how they are built. APR molds these in pre-preg carbon, vacuum-bags them and cures them in an autoclave, then finishes them in a UV-stable clear coat and hand-polishes each one, which is what keeps the weave sharp and the gloss deep rather than dull and orange-peeled. - Vacuum-bagging and autoclave curing are what separate a molded carbon part from a carbon-look shell. The process pulls the resin content down and the consistency up, so the weave sits flat with no print-through and the panel holds the shape of the mold rather than relaxing out of it. The clear coat over the top is UV-stable rather than plain gloss, and each cover is hand-polished individually, which is the step that decides whether carbon reads as deep or as flat.
Fitment, and What Does Not Fit
- These fit the ATS-V Coupe and the CTS-V Sedan. They do not fit the ATS-V Sedan, which carries a different mirror despite sharing the V-Series name and most of the car around it.
