Boost Logic’s Stroker Short Block for R35 Nissan GT-R is an assembled 4.1-liter VR38 bottom end for owners chasing big power who also want quicker spool and more torque than the 3.8-liter engine gives. Boost Logic pairs a custom billet 4340 steel crankshaft with a 94mm stroke, Manley Turbo Tuff VR38 connecting rods and Manley Platinum Series lightweight forged pistons built to its own spec, adds special coated bearings and finishes the block with its own precision assembly. Boost Logic builds it for weekend drag racing and endurance road course use alike. For a GT-R staying near factory output it is far more engine than the car needs.

Construction

The 94mm stroke billet crankshaft is what takes displacement to 4.1 liters, and Boost Logic specifies the Manley rods and pistons around it to its own requirements. The short block is supplied one of two ways: send Boost Logic your own VR38 core to be built, or have it built on a brand new OEM core.
