BRIDE ZETA IV KING Bucket Seat
The BRIDE ZETA IV KING is a collaboration full bucket seat developed with Keiichi Tsuchiya, the former racing driver known worldwide as the Drift King. Built on the ZETA IV, BRIDE’s top-selling full bucket seat since 1990, the KING pairs the series’ proven engineering with Tsuchiya’s signature green color lines and stitching and gold embroidery featuring his nicknames “KING” and “craftsman” on the backrest and headrest. It is an FIA-approved model available in two shell materials, FRP silver and super aramid black carbon, across two color options; black and green with gradation, and red.
The ZETA Series
- Advanced Material & Manufacturing Method: BRIDE has improved shell rigidity by 15% by using high-performance materials in the FRP shells, including glass fiber and aramid fiber. The seat and thigh cushions, in direct contact with the driver, now incorporate molded urethane for enhanced comfort and durability during prolonged use.
- Shell Design & Hold Performance Focused on Safety: A newly contoured shell and vertical slits in the back cushion enhance fit from the headrest down to the back and shoulders, enabling drivers to maintain an optimal driving position comfortably over extended periods. The raised thigh design also reduces the risk of the submarine phenomenon, where occupants slide forward, especially during heavy braking or collisions.
- LOWMAX System in the ZETA Series: The ZETA series integrates the LOWMAX system, narrowing shoulder width to 560mm. Previously available only in select full bucket and reclining seats, the LOWMAX system in ZETA enables precise alignment of the seat center with the steering wheel center, making it adaptable to a broader range of vehicle models.
The ZETA IV KING
- ZETA IV Drift King “Keiichi TSUCHIYA” Collaboration Model: Since its debut in 1990, the BRIDE ZETA series of full bucket seats has proven itself across numerous racing events, continuously safeguarding driver safety. This special edition pairs the latest ZETA IV model with Drift King “Keiichi TSUCHIYA.” As BRIDE’s flagship model, ZETA IV is crafted for optimal body support and designed for versatile use across street driving and various motorsports. Utilizing BRIDE’s extensive seat-making expertise, the ZETA IV is built with high-performance materials in every component, creating a lightweight, highly rigid full bucket seat that excels in hold-ability, comfort, durability, and safety. Available in two shell materials—FRP silver shell and super aramid black shell—the seat is finished in black fabric, with unique green lines and stitching inspired by Mr. Tsuchiya’s signature color.
- Gold Embroidery Accents: The KING series, a collaboration with Mr. Keiichi Tsuchiya, a renowned Japanese racing and drift driver, features gold embroidery on the backrest and headrest, displaying Tsuchiya’s nicknames “KING” and “craftsman.”
- Enhanced cushion for comfort & durability: The seat and thigh cushions are crafted from high-density urethane foam, designed for pressure distribution across the seat’s flat surface to provide superior hold, reduce fatigue, and enhance longevity. Additionally, the back cushion includes a vertical slit to offer spinal support and ensure a comfortable fit.

Frequently Asked Question
- Is the BRIDE ZETA IV KING FIA approved? Yes. The ZETA IV KING is FIA approved across both shell material options and both color variations. FIA homologations carry expiration dates, so verifying the seat’s current approval status against the FIA’s active homologation list before use in sanctioned competition is recommended.
- Who is Keiichi Tsuchiya and what is his connection to the ZETA IV KING? Keiichi Tsuchiya is a former professional racing driver widely known as the Drift King, recognized for his pioneering role in making drifting a recognized motorsport discipline. The ZETA IV KING is a BRIDE collaboration seat featuring his signature green color lines and stitching alongside gold embroidery on the backrest and headrest displaying his nicknames “KING” and “craftsman.”
- What is the difference between the ZETA IV KING and the standard ZETA IV? The ZETA IV KING and the standard ZETA IV share the same core engineering; the FRP shell with glass and aramid fiber construction, LOWMAX System, raised thigh design, and rail compatibility. The KING adds Keiichi Tsuchiya’s green color lines, stitching, and gold embroidery collaboration details, offers a super aramid black carbon shell as an alternative to the FRP silver shell, and carries FIA approval. The REIMS and GHOST are not FIA certified, making the KING the FIA-approved premium variant within the ZETA IV range.
- What is the difference between the FRP silver shell and the super aramid black shell? The FRP silver shell uses fiberglass-reinforced plastic with glass and aramid fiber for a 15% rigidity improvement over standard FRP. The super aramid black shell uses high-strength aramid fiber construction, producing a stiffer and lighter seat than the FRP option. Both shell options are FIA approved and available in both color variations. Drivers who prioritize weight reduction should consider the super aramid option; drivers for whom the price difference does not justify the weight saving can choose the FRP shell with confidence in its structural performance.
- What seat rails are compatible with the ZETA IV KING? The ZETA IV KING is compatible with FB, FG, FK, FO, FT, FX, IG, and LF type seat rails. All compatible rails are sold separately and vehicle-specific rails are required for installation. Confirm the appropriate rail type for your specific vehicle before purchasing.
- How does the ZETA IV KING compare to the GIAS III KING and STRADIA III KING collaboration seats? All three KING collaboration seats feature Keiichi Tsuchiya’s gold embroidery with “KING” and “craftsman” on the backrest and headrest. The key differences are the underlying seat platforms. The ZETA IV KING is a fixed full bucket seat with FIA approval, suited to drivers who want the maximum hold and competition credentials of a full bucket with the KING collaboration identity. The GIAS III KING is a reclining semi-bucket with deep shoulder and high side support, FIA approval, and a carbon shell option. The STRADIA III KING is a reclining semi-bucket focused on balancing hold with daily convenience. Buyers who want a fixed full bucket for track use should choose the ZETA IV KING; those who want a reclining seat should compare the GIAS III KING and STRADIA III KING based on the level of hold versus daily comfort they need.
- What is the submarine phenomenon and how does the ZETA IV KING address it? The submarine phenomenon occurs when an occupant slides forward under the lap belt during hard braking or a frontal collision, causing the belt to ride up over the abdomen instead of restraining at the pelvis. The ZETA IV KING addresses this through the raised thigh design inherited from the ZETA IV, which keeps the thighs supported and the pelvis correctly positioned under restraint load.
