J’s Racing 70F Plus Front Pipe for FK8 Honda Civic Type R [T304-K8-70F]

The J’s Racing 70F Plus Front Pipe replaces the FK8 Honda Civic Type R’s factory front pipe with a stainless straight pipe of 66mm inner diameter and 70mm outer diameter, improving exhaust efficiency across the entire range. With boost active, torque and power climb significantly through the mid and high rotational range, acceleration loses its stressed feeling, and the whole car drives more fluidly.

Construction

The main pipe is 2mm-thick SUS304 stainless steel chosen for strength, formed as a special handmade bent pipe with a handmade flange. Because the FK8’s engine moves considerably under shifting loads, the flange is milled to a full 12mm thickness and seals against a strong genuine-type O-ring gasket, so the pipe supports the engine’s movement without leaks or fatigue.

What gains does the 70F Plus Front Pipe deliver? By swapping the restrictive factory front pipe for a 66mm-bore stainless straight pipe, the 70F Plus Front Pipe improves exhaust efficiency across the whole range. Under boost, torque and power rise significantly through the mid and high rpm range and acceleration feels notably less stressed.
Why is the flange 12mm thick? The FK8’s engine moves considerably under shift loads, and the front pipe has to live with that movement. J’s Racing mills the flange to 12mm and seals it with a strong genuine-type O-ring gasket so the joint stays leak-free under years of hard use.
Will it work with my aftermarket exhaust? Yes. Even on cars that already run an aftermarket muffler, the front pipe adds further exhaust efficiency and cruising comfort, and it is compatible with J’s Racing’s own FK8 exhaust products.
How much louder does the car get? Expect roughly a 5 dB increase even with a safety-standard muffler installed. It is a noticeable, harder-edged note under load rather than a drone.
Is it emissions legal? No. The pipe does not conform to Japanese vehicle inspection and is not CARB approved, so it is not for sale in California or other states requiring CARB certification. It is intended for competition use.
