Care on steep driveways is still wise on a lowered car.
- What is the difference between the two versions? The uncoated version arrives as raw dry carbon weave with the natural Phantom series finish, ready to run as-is or paint. The coated version adds a factory-applied matte black coating over the carbon. The part shape and fitment are identical between the two.
- Is dry carbon really different from regular carbon fiber? Yes. Dry carbon is made from pre-impregnated carbon cured under heat and pressure, the same process used for aerospace and Formula 1 components. It produces a stiffer, lighter, more consistent part than wet-layup carbon, with a cleaner weave.
- Does installation require cutting or drilling? No. The spoiler is a bolt-on installation that requires no cutting or drilling of the FL5, and it preserves the original body lines underneath. That also means the car can be returned to stock cleanly.
- Does it fit the standard FL1 Civic hatchback? This spoiler is designed for the 2023 and newer Honda Civic Type R FL5 front bumper. It is not intended for the standard FL1 Civic hatchback, which uses different front bodywork.
