J’s Racing Rear Diffuser for FK8 Honda Civic Type R

The J’s Racing Rear Diffuser finishes the FK8 Honda Civic Type R’s rear aero the way J’s Racing designed the system to work. Made by vacuum infusion molding for fewer resin irregularities and air bubbles than conventional layup, the diffuser mounts to J’s Racing’s Type-S rear under spoiler and adds rectification and downforce at the rear, with the design priority placed squarely on the downforce effect. Choose carbon or FRP, alone if you already run the under spoiler, or as a complete assembly with it.

Design and Performance

The under spoiler’s upswept shape and widened center duct vent air trapped around the muffler to cut the parachute effect, and the diffuser’s strakes then straighten and accelerate the flow leaving the car. The two parts were molded around J’s Racing’s own FK8 exhausts, and the complete assemblies bundle the diffuser and under spoiler at a saving over buying separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the J’s Racing Rear Diffuser fit the stock bumper by itself? No. The J’s Racing Rear Diffuser mounts to the Type-S rear under spoiler, not to the stock bumper or OEM under spoiler. Order a diffuser-only option if you already run the under spoiler, or a complete assembly to get both.
What is the difference between the four options? Material and scope. Carbon or FRP construction of the same vacuum-infused diffuser mold, each available alone or bundled with the FRP Type-S under spoiler as a complete assembly, which saves money over buying the two parts separately.
Will it clear my aftermarket exhaust? The system is molded around J’s Racing’s own FK8 exhausts. Other aftermarket systems may require cutting the diffuser to clear, and triple-tip exhaust layouts are not compatible.
Does it come painted? No. The carbon version ships as bare carbon without clear coat, ready for optional UV clear or matte finishing, and the FRP version must be primed and painted. J’s Racing instructs test-fitting and painting before installation.
Can I still use the factory jack points? Yes, with one step: a marked section of the diffuser is cut away to keep the factory jack-up points accessible, a provision J’s Racing built into the design.
