MMX Replacement Wheel Stud Set (M14x1.25) — Set of 20

BMW wheel studs M14 replacement set from MMX Performance supplies 20 heat-treated high-carbon steel M14x1.25 studs in 70mm or 80mm lengths designed for those replacing worn or damaged studs in an existing MMX stud fitment, or upgrading to studs on a BMW or MINI that already runs compatible wheel nuts. The 70mm stud accommodates spacers up to 10mm; the 80mm stud accommodates spacers up to 20mm. Each stud is chrome-plated for corrosion resistance and features 13mm of threaded hub shank for secure engagement in the hub carrier, 8mm of unthreaded shank at the hub face for brake disc clearance, and either 50mm or 60mm of threaded wheel shank depending on length. A 6mm internal Allen drive allows each stud to be torqued into the hub precisely using an Allen key and enables individual stud removal without hub carrier damage. Wheel nuts are not included in this set. See the MMX Wheel Stud and Nut Set if nuts are also required.

The same drive allows individual studs to be removed and replaced without special tooling or hub carrier damage.
Why does the stud have an unthreaded section? The 8mm of unthreaded shank sits at the hub face where the brake disc passes over the stud. This clearance zone prevents the thread from contacting or scoring the brake disc carrier during disc changes, which would otherwise make disc removal and refitting more difficult over time.
