The Nitron Electronic Damping Delete Kit for the R35 Nissan GT-R is a straightforward solution for owners converting to a non-electronic coilover setup. The R35 comes equipped with Nissan’s electronic damping system as standard, and fitting a non-electronic kit without addressing that system will trigger fault codes and warning lights on the dash. The Delete Kit prevents those faults cleanly, without workarounds or compromises. It’s a required piece of the puzzle for any R35 GT-R being converted to a non-electronic Nitron kit.

Is this kit required for all Nitron coilover setups on the R35? No. It is only required when fitting a non-electronic Nitron kit; specifically the NTR-R1 and NTR-R3 ranges. The elec-TRON R1 and elec-TRON R3 kits integrate directly with Nissan’s factory electronic damping system and do not require the Delete Kit.
What does the Delete Kit actually do to the car’s electronics? It disables only the standard damper control function within the OEM control unit. All other control unit functions remain intact and operational. The kit does not affect any other vehicle systems; it targets the specific signal the factory expects from the electronic dampers and satisfies that requirement cleanly.
Does fitting the Delete Kit affect how the car drives? No. The Delete Kit addresses the electronic side of the conversion only. It has no effect on how the Nitron coilovers perform or how the car behaves on the road or circuit.
