The Nitron NTR-R1 coilover kit for the 8S TT and TTS closes that gap with precision-engineered, combined 2-way damping adjustment drawn directly from the R3 race platform, sharing core components with a kit built for professional competition. There’s no remote canister to package around, and every unit is individually hand-built with ultra-low friction components that deliver consistent, fade-resistant damping from the street to the circuit. If your 8S Audi TT was optioned with Audi Magnetic Ride, the Nitron Electronic Damping Delete Kit is required when fitting a non-electronic coilover kit to prevent fault codes and warning lights. The TTS is a different situation; Magnetic Ride comes standard on that car, so the delete kit is required across the board.

What is the main difference between the Fast Road Spec and Track Day Spec? The Fast Road Spec is suited for street driving with occasional spirited use. The Track Day Spec steps it up and is better suited for cars that see regular circuit use where a stiffer platform improves response and reduces body movement under load. Custom spring rates are also available if neither spec fits your specific setup.
Do I need the Nitron Electronic Damping Delete Kit with this coilover kit? It depends on the car. The 8S Audi TT was available with Audi Magnetic Ride as a factory option, so not every TT requires the delete kit; only those equipped with it. The TTS is different; Magnetic Ride is standard on that model, so the delete kit is required across the board when fitting a non-electronic coilover kit.
Does the Nitron NTR-R1 kit include top mounts? Yes. Each kit consists of four coilovers and top mounts. Precision bearing spacers are also supplied as required for the application.
How is the damping adjusted on the NTR-R1? The NTR-R1 uses combined 2-way adjustment with 24 clicks total, meaning compression and rebound are adjusted together through a single adjuster rather than separately. It’s a straightforward setup that covers a wide range of driving conditions without requiring independent adjustment of each circuit.
