- The Trinity model introduces unparalleled versatility with its three-piece modular construction, comprising an outer lip, front face, and inner barrel. This configuration offers a vast selection of customization options, from finishes and lip styles to sizes, down to the choice of bolts. Rohana Forged
- Step 1 – Designing / Engineering: The design phase is a critical part of producing a forged wheel, laying the groundwork for all subsequent manufacturing steps. This stage requires meticulous attention to multiple factors to guarantee that the resulting product is aesthetically pleasing, effective, and secure. Every design is meticulously engineered to accommodate brake clearances and is subjected to a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tailored to the specific vehicle.
- Step 2 – Lathe: In the lathe operation, pre-formed cylindrical aluminum pieces known as wheel blanks are affixed to a lathe machine and spun at a rapid pace. A cutting instrument, directed by the machine, trims away material from the blanks, sculpting them into the intended wheel design. The accuracy of this lathe procedure is vital, as it impacts the wheel’s precision and stability. The outcome is a wheel characterized by exact dimensions, uniform thickness, and a polished finish.
- Step 3 – CNC Milling: The CNC milling process is governed by a computerized program, employing precise algorithms to meticulously shape the wheel blank according to the detailed specifications provided in the design blueprint. - What is the Trinity configuration, and how does it differ from Unibloc or Tandem? Trinity is a 3-piece design built from an outer lip, front face, and inner barrel, each of which can be selected and finished separately. This gives far more room for customization than the single-piece Unibloc or the 2-piece Tandem, letting you dial in finish, lip style, and dimensions down to the hardware and bolt choice.
- Can the center, barrels, and Aerodisc really all be different colors? Yes. The center, inner barrel, and outer barrel each get their own finish selection, and two-tone options are available on the center and outer barrel (you’ll need to specify two colors and any custom details in the notes field). If you add the optional Aerodisc, it can be finished independently as well, including in two-tone.
- What is the Aerodisc, and does it fit every diameter? The Aerodisc is an optional face-covering add-on, but it’s only offered on 19″ to 22″ diameter wheels, so it isn’t available if you’re building this RFG9 Trinity in the smaller 18″ size or the larger 23″–24″ range.
- What spoke and lip styles can I choose? You can go with either a standard or floating spoke design, paired with a reverse or step lip. Since this wheel is built to order for your specific vehicle, exact lip sizing will vary depending on your year, make, and model.
- What hardware finishes are offered? Hardware can be set up as full, 50-50 (half exposed, half hidden), or fully hidden, and it comes in chrome, standard, or premium brushed finishes, so you can match or contrast it with the rest of the wheel’s finish scheme.
