Voltex Cyber Rear Wide Fender Arch for CT9A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII / VIII / IX
The Voltex Cyber Rear Wide Fender Arch is the rear half of the same staged widening system as the front over-fender, completing the widebody look and function around the back axle. Voltex, working out of Suzuka since 1995 under founder Nakajima’s F3 and Formula Japan composite background, built the Cyber wide arch program in two stages at each end of the car: a base wide fender sets the initial width increase, and this over-fender adds a further stage of arch flare on top. That staged approach is what lets a genuinely wider rear track go on the CT9A Evo without one oversized moulding that would be harder to align and repair.

- Can I fit the Voltex Cyber Rear Wide Fender Arch directly to a factory fender? No. This is the second stage of a two-part widening system and requires the Voltex Rear Wide Fenders, part VL-EOR-9, already fitted as the base layer. Ordering this product alone leaves you with a component that has nothing to mount to.
- What’s the difference between this and VL-EOR-9? VL-EOR-9 is the base wide fender that replaces the factory rear panel and sets the first stage of width increase. The Voltex Cyber Rear Wide Fender Arch is the over-fender that mounts on top of that base to add a further stage of arch flare, so the two work together rather than as alternatives.
- Does this pair with the front over-fender? Yes. Voltex runs the same staged system at the front, using the Cyber Front Wide Arch Fenders over a separate base fender, VL-EOF-2. Running both front and rear gives a matched widebody look and track increase across the whole car, though each end needs its own base fender ordered alongside the corresponding over-fender.
- Which Evo generations does this fit? Evolution VII, VIII and IX on the CT9A chassis, all sharing the rear fender architecture the Cyber wide arch system is built around. The listed compatibility centres on VIII and IX; if you’re running a VII specifically, confirm fitment with us before ordering. Note the base VL-EOR-9 fender is specified for 2005-onward cars.
- How much wider does the finished setup end up? The available specification doesn’t give a combined width figure for the base rear fender plus this over-fender. Confirm total width increase with us before committing to rear tire and wheel fitment, since track width is the whole reason to run a staged widebody system like this.
- Is professional installation necessary? Strongly recommended. Aligning two separate composite panels on top of each other, then matching that against the rear bumper and quarter panel lines, takes more care than fitting a single-piece fender. Panel gap and paint work both depend on getting that two-layer alignment right first.
