Engineered Art

  • Vossen bridges the gap between the accuracy of custom forged wheels and the cost-effectiveness of cast wheels. The company offers custom CNC machining, allowing nearly any bolt pattern, center bore, and offset to be achieved with remarkable precision and efficiency.

Design

  • To ensure a perfect fit, Vossen measures over 100 data points on each vehicle, with every wheel custom-made for specific makes and models.

Concave Profile Flexibility

  • All Vossen Forged wheels are produced using Vossen’s exclusive forging process, which allows for highly efficient spoke profiles. This process adds extra material to the wheel face, allowing for profiles that range from flat to super deep concave, enabling an 8.5” wide wheel to achieve a concavity similar to a 12.5” wide wheel.

Finishing

  • Vossen’s in-house finishing facility uses state-of-the-art equipment to deliver exceptional finishes. From ceramic polishing to powder coating, Vossen ensures top-tier quality by controlling every stage of the process.
    • Hand Prep: Step 1 – After machining, each wheel undergoes a hand-sanding and deburring process to ensure premium finishes. Wheels with a brushed finish go through a detailed hand-sanding procedure, which can take up to five hours per wheel, ensuring a consistent brushed surface.
    • Brushing & Polishing: Step 2 – The most labor-intensive and rewarding part of the process is brushing and polishing. These upgrades are available across the Vossen Forged line. Brushed wheels emphasize the natural beauty of the forged aluminum grain, while full ceramic polishing results in a mirror-like finish. Combining both finishes creates a standout look.
    • Pre-Treatment: Step 3 – After hand prep, all wheels go through a seven-stage pre-treatment cleansing process to remove impurities before powder coating, ensuring a stronger and more uniform finish.
    • Powder Coating: Step 4 – Vossen’s in-house powder coating facility, designed specifically for wheels, uses advanced equipment and high-quality powders to create a durable, consistent finish.
    • Final Visual Inspection: Step 5 – After powder coating, a final inspection is performed to ensure the finish’s quality and consistency, with a film thickness gauge used to confirm uniformity. Each wheel is then cleaned and packed for shipment.

Standard finishes come at no extra cost, with the option to color match the wheel for an additional fee. For a premium upgrade, Vossen offers Forged Billet Caps with exclusive “V” inserts. Additionally, Vossen provides a floating cap option, also available for Rolls Royce vehicles (a “plate” option is required for floating caps).
