Engineered Art

Vossen seamlessly bridges the gap between the precision of custom forged wheels and the affordability of cast wheels. The company offers custom CNC machining, allowing for nearly any bolt pattern, center bore, and offset to be achieved with remarkable precision and efficiency.

Design

To ensure an exact fit, Vossen measures over 100 data points on each vehicle, with each wheel custom-made for specific makes and models.

Concave Profile Flexibility

All Vossen Forged wheels are produced using Vossen’s exclusive forging process, which allows for efficient spoke profiles. This process adds additional material to the wheel face, enabling profiles that range from flat to super deep concave, giving an 8.5” wide wheel a concavity comparable to that of a 12.5” wheel.

Finishing

Vossen’s in-house finishing facility uses cutting-edge equipment to deliver top-tier finishes. From ceramic polishing to powder coating, Vossen ensures exceptional quality by meticulously overseeing every step of the process.
- Hand Prep: Step 1 – After machining, each wheel is hand-sanded and deburred to achieve a flawless finish. Wheels with a brushed finish go through an intensive hand-sanding process that can take up to five hours per wheel, ensuring a consistent brushed texture.
- Brushing & Polishing: Step 2 – The most labor-intensive and rewarding part of the process is brushing and polishing. These upgrades are available across the Vossen Forged range. Brushed wheels accentuate the natural beauty of the forged aluminum grain, while full ceramic polishing provides a mirror-like finish. Combining both results in a striking dual finish.
- Pre-Treatment: Step 3 – Following hand prep, all wheels undergo a seven-stage pre-treatment cleansing process to remove any impurities before powder coating, ensuring a more durable and uniform finish.
- Powder Coating: Step 4 – Vossen’s in-house powder coating facility, designed specifically for wheels, employs advanced technology and premium powders to create a long-lasting, uniform finish.
- Final Visual Inspection: Step 5 – After powder coating, each wheel undergoes a thorough final inspection to ensure the finish’s quality and consistency, using a film thickness gauge to verify uniformity. Once inspected, each wheel is cleaned and packed for shipping.

Standard finishes are available at no additional cost, with the option to color match the wheel for an extra fee. For a more luxurious touch, Vossen offers Forged Billet Caps with exclusive “V” inserts. Additionally, Vossen provides a floating cap option, which is also available for Rolls Royce vehicles (a “plate” option is required for floating caps).
