Vossen Wheels 19×8.5 5-120 +30 HF-5 Wheel in Gloss Black

Challenging the limits of traditional casting methods, the Hybrid Forged Series pioneers the application of flow forming technology to achieve remarkable reductions in weight while simultaneously enhancing strength. This groundbreaking process also allows for a versatile selection of wheel widths across all designs.

Presenting the newest member of Vossen’s esteemed Hybrid Forged Series, the HF-5 Wheel, which draws inspiration from its forged counterpart, the S21-01. Showcasing sleek pocketed spokes and a captivating Y-pattern, the HF-5 offers a range of 2 standard finishes and customizable finishes, providing customers with the opportunity to tailor their choice to their personal preferences.

The Flow Forming Process

The process initiates with the secure fastening of the wheel-shaped mold to the rotating flow forming machine, initiating a carefully planned heating procedure. Hydraulic rollers are then employed to apply precise and controlled pressure on the barrel, facilitating the gradual expansion of the wheel. Meticulous techniques involving stretching and compressing are meticulously utilized to manipulate and adjust the material, achieving the desired width with exceptional precision. By extending the barrel material, the grain formation of aluminum is optimized, resulting in a final composition that bears a striking resemblance to a wheel manufactured in a factory. This advanced process not only effectively reduces weight but also enhances the structural integrity, yielding a wheel that is lighter and more resilient in its construction.
